L'Agencelumière is an independent structure specialising in lighting design associated with urban planning, landscape, architecture and heritage projects.
For 30 years, it has been deploying a series of lighting projects in France and in certain other countries (Brazil, Martinique, North Africa, etc.) that are both individually identifiable and unanimously indicative of the agency's conceptual "touch".
The variety of assignments we have been given has enabled us to develop creative reflexes that make the projects more efficient and allow us to navigate between different conceptual worlds by expanding our own imaginary fields.
Light, which can be understood by everyone, regardless of the environment in which they find themselves, is a medium for promoting and communicating with cities, but also (and above all) with Nature, with which it tries to create a healthy and safe night-time environment.
Thanks to our in-depth studies - asking the question of place, use, transversalities, nocturnal identity - each lit space can become a stage for new creative expressions, a pole for new social interactions and the door to new contemplations.
Artificial light is an essential asset for attractiveness and economic development. This new material for urban and architectural composition, a universal and historical symbol, has become a sensitive and sustainable means of expression for Agencelumière.
Imagining a light adapted to environmental issues and built around original light narratives and sensitive.
Agencelumière has received several awards. Rhône-Alpine Heritage Award 2011 for the illumination of the Pierre Bucher building in Grenoble and in 2020 for the church of Saint-Gervais, winner of the "Victoires du Paysage" award. Public Space Award 2013 (awarded by the city of Lyon) for the new development of the quays of the Allier in Vichy. Also winner of the Victoires du Paysage 2014 for its participation in the Fort-Saint-Jean landscape redevelopment project with the aps agency (landscape architects).
