A majestic golden wind sweeping the busy intersection with its sublime glow, the great illuminated sails sail the building towards a pole of fame.
This 198-bed residence is ideally located at the center of a current and future transportation hub on the Carrefour Pleyel in Saint Denis. This program is intended for students of the future Condorcet Campus as well as for Parisian students or students of the Cité du Cinéma.
Designed in collaboration with architect Alain Sarfati (Saréa Architecture), this residence has obtained the "Habitat and Environment" certification and the BBC label.
The building's location on the Pleyel crossroads, visible from several roads, makes it an important urban landmark for the city of Saint Denis. It immediately seemed essential to us to reinforce this identity by night, through an ambitious lighting project that echoes the project's bold architecture.
The exterior lighting is therefore based on the constructive layout by highlighting the façade design and its details. It is not a question of adding new elements but rather of reinforcing the perceived impact and quality of this building.
From linear LED sources located at the back of the entire canvas structure, the light sublimates the material as close as possible to it by a grazing diffusion against the light and caressing golden tones that reinforce the preciousness of the metallic veil.
The mesh, emblematic element of this building, becomes a self-luminescent veil that seems to be swept by a fleeting wind thanks to a programming of the luminaries that plays on the intensity of the flow and the fades between them. A light and living material, it seems to levitate above the ground and participate in the moving activity of the crossroads.
