Inspired by the golden colors of the theater's decoration and the light-colored stone of which it is composed, the light is perfectly integrated into the architecture and the night landscape of the center of Cherbourg. It glorifies the facade without overloading it and gives a reading of the building's elevation by connecting it to its history as well as to its current environment.
The lighting points are distributed in such a way as to focus the eye on the different architectural elements. They invite the contemplation of the building, its architectural understanding and its sublimation.
The light is constructed through the elements of the façade: "woven" light for the vertical elements (arches, piers, statues), "caress" light for the horizontal elements (cornices, balconies, balusters, roofs), and "relief" light revealing through the shadows the volumes of the sculpted modenatures and the bas-reliefs
