Rue de la Liberté - Dijon

On the occasion of an ideas competition launched by the City of Dijon in 2017, L'Agencelumière proposed to pour through the light, in the Rue de la Liberté, the word "Liberté" itself, like a unanimous cry radiating through the historic center.

At nightfall, the heart of the city remains animated by its shops and night-time activities; the Rue de la Liberté, similar to its name, is free to pass. The lighting is meant to be scenographic, dynamic and poetic, taking possession of the place without overwhelming it.

The light whispers "Freedom", it writes it on the walls and the ground and plays with the passers-by with the help of interactive technologies. It underlines the freedom of movement of the street and offers freedom of choice to citizens.

Urban lighting is no longer only functional but also participates in the social heart of the city.
