This project was awarded the 1st prize for public space by the City of Lyon during the 2013 Lumiville Awards. It aimed to affirm the city's entrance as a public space, as well as to participate in the softening of the place of the car in favor of the pedestrian (creation of a dedicated promenade).
Our lighting project is directly in line with this approach by proposing a complete night-time requalification of the site based on new qualitative lighting atmospheres.
In order to break the linearity of the pedestrian quay, wooden candelabras with indirect flux diffusion provide a soft and warm light.
On the central axis, wooden public lighting poles diffuse a white light of quality, spread on the pedestrian environment.
This new nocturnal construction has allowed the site to be attached to the urban fabric of Vichy while initiating a coherent and legible luminous continuum.
