In detail

On the eve of its 40th birthday, the Montparnasse Tower, a powerful symbol of a bygone era, decided to perpetuate its modernity by installing a permanent and evolving lighting system. Our design decided to go beyond the simple architectural approach in order to take full measure of both the integration and distinction of its silhouette in the Parisian urban panorama.

An important landmark in the capital, the building, illuminated through the prism of the enhancement, not only gained in legibility, but also reaffirmed the identity of the neighborhood and projected the tower into a more innovative 21st century.

The lighting is designed by an evolving lighting of the facades (through 4 scenarios defined according to the 4 seasons) accompanied by a slow light pulsation of the top floor giving life to this imposing monument anchored in its territory.

For this purpose, we set up a system of LED light sources, all identical, which mark the center and the corners of the building on each floor; an elegant and light way of silhouetting the verticality, of redrawing the contours and of giving to see a reinvented image.

Reactive to the impulses of the city and its activities, the tower's lighting program is also enhanced by event-based programs that make it possible to accompany, through light, the country's special and symbolic days, to give a new breath, from time to time, to the Parisian night landscape, and to accompany the population's overall effusion.
