As a landmark on the land (from the sea) and in the ramparts (from the city), the citadel dresses, at night, a noble scenographic costume giving the impression of a single communicative body punctuated with symbolic stagings.

The lighting project focuses on the distinction of the different constituent elements of the Ajaccio citadel and the establishment of a visual link between the outside and the inside. At first visual call in the distance, like a luminous case, the light is then, in second reading, a figurative element to follow introducing itself progressively in the heart of the building.
Between on the one hand respect and magnificence of the heritage by means of a discreet and rightly distributed functional lighting, and on the other hand attractiveness and graphic expression by punctuated nocturnal scenographies; the global lighting in its turn gives rhythm to the pedestrian route proposed during the day.
Everywhere, the lighting equipment is perfectly integrated, hardly visible in the perspectives and in accordance with the landscape and architectural designs (conformity of materials). In some precisely studied places, special masts have been designed as emblematic emergences and totems of the urban landscape.
