In detail

At the request of the city of Clermont-Ferrand, we worked on the design of all the interior lighting of this remarkable architectural building.

The Notre-Dame de l'Assomption cathedral has a unique characteristic: its black color due to the Volvic lava. We have based our reflection on this attribute in order to create a lighting that is not only enhancing but also and above all adapted to the identity of the place.

This operation was accompanied by a restoration and an upgrade to electrical standards. All of the cathedral's lighting was therefore reviewed.

The architectural structure - the chapel, the ambulatory, the vaults of the Nave, have thus benefited from a new lighting of valorization.

The interior "decorative" elements, notably the famous altar by Viollet-le-Duc, have also been redesigned and sublimated.
